It’s been 19 weeks since I got a new defibrillator. 


I was in Boston on December 29,2016, getting a new device for my heart condition. 

I was worried about the procedure, although it’s fairly routine now. 

I was also concerned about the gains and release of weight I had experienced from August 28-December 29th. It was the most focused I’ve ever been. I lost weight during the holiday season. Who does that? Not many and I had NEVER done that. But I’ve been following Bill Phillips plan since August, which has been tremendous. 

I’m still following it. I took a month off from lifting after the procedure. 

Then in February I slowly reintroduced weights. No need to mess up my device. In March I continued to work my way back up. 

The weight that was lost last year is no where to be found. I’m thankful for that. 

5 months and counting. Okay, technically 19 weeks but close enough. 


As I go through 2017 there are so many dates in my head. I’m thinking about where I was last year at this time, and where I am right now! I’m thankful. 

We need to be good stewards of all things and that includes our bodies. 

One day at a time. One hour at a time. One minute at a time. One second at a time. Everyday counts. Every workout counts. 

Let’s do this!
