No more Déjà Vu! I love saying ” Déjà Vu” and I like how it looks, but please no more Déjà Vu. Do you feel the same?
Going back to the origin of the word it means “already seen.”

No more sequels of certain movie franchises. Already seen it. No more Alien movies! Already seen it! No more Fast and Furious! Which one are they are on now? Isn’t Vin Deisel like 60 years old? No one can keep up. The next one will probably take place in space! No more Paul Blart mall cop movies!

It’s 2017 but do ever have an eerie feeling that you’re reliving 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012…. just in a different calendar year? Is it just an illusion or is it really happening? You’re wearing different clothes but basically the same things are happening?
Maybe you’re still trying to lose the same weight that you were trying to release in 2016, 2015, 2014. But it’s there. You keep giving the same empty promises with nothing behind them. You’re going through the same madness.

Maybe you’re allowing the same attacks of the devil to bring you down. Maybe you’re trying to break that porn addiction or drinking addiction, and you find yourself in the same spot as you were in 2016, 2015, 2014, etc. You keep refusing the help you really need from your brethren and from God. You still are refusing to admit that you have a problem. You keep making the same empty promises that have no teeth to them, because you’re not going about things Gods way.

Maybe your relearionship with your spouse in 2017 is in the same bad place as it was from a few years ago. In the middle of another intense heated argument in front of the children (which is always a bad thing) for a brief moment you say to yourself, “this feels like the same situation we were in a few years ago, just a little bit older with different clothes on.”) You celebrate your anniversary the same way you’ve done for the last 17 years. Just a little bit older and heavier, but not happier.

When you open your bank account statement or log in online you get that eerie feeling that you are in the same spot as you were in 2016, 2015, 2014. But this isnt an illusion. It’s reality! Same situation, status, result, just new time frame.

Maybe these feelings that people have are merely illusions. Maybe things aren’t as bad as you think they are. But maybe they are. If so, it’s time to change!

It begins by taking a look at your heart. We can blame everyone around us, but we must start with heart. This can be the hardest step, but it’s necessary.
We must trust Gods way! We will need support and help from others! That takes courage and strength, but we can do it. Do you believe that?
The year is half way over! Wow! That’s nuts. So where are you? Where are you going?
