I see them everyday on Facebook. Every time I log in I see a photo of them.

It’s a workout apparel company called Active Faith Sports. I don’t know how long they have been around, but I have seen them everywhere.

So I had a thought a few weeks ago. I said to myself, “I could be one of those guys in those photos. I workout. I’m in good shape. I’m a Christian. I like the idea that they are trying to promote something positive. I could be one of those models.”

So I emailed the company. Yep.

I told them my thoughts. The company is in Houston and I’m only about 90 minutes from there. It’s a perfect fit.

And guess what? They got back to me quickly! I got an email and got nervous and excited at the same time. This crazy idea might work. The email said that they were going to send my request to the store manager.

Yes!

Then I got a second email. Sweet! Until I read it. They said they didn’t need any models at this time. Awe man!

Oh well…

It was fun while it lasted.

So what’s the point of all of this?

A couple of thoughts.

1. Have you ever had a idea and thought to yourself, “No, that’s a crazy idea…that would never work…” So you talk yourself out of going after that idea (I’m not talking about anything illegal or immoral. If it’s illegal and/or immoral please talk yourself out of it). And so that idea just sits in your brain. But what if that idea creates the next tipping point? What if that idea could bring inspiration to others? What if that idea could change the world? Or at least your world?

What If?????? At least give it a shot.

I never thought I would be a preacher. But I had to at least give it a shot. I never thought I would live in Texas, but I had to at least try it. I never thought I would work for a billion dollar company out of college, but I had to send in my resume to try and see. I never thought I would be a blogger. But I had to at least give it a shot! I’m so glad I did.

2. Who cares if they say “No.” Quit being afraid of “NO.”  People will sit on the sideline of life because of the fear of rejection. Cmon now! Guys will remain single forever because they are afraid to ask that woman out on a date.

At least ask.

At least send in your resume.

At least invite that person to a Bible study.

If they say “No” move on.

Lord willing I plan on hiking up Pikes Peak in Colorado later on this year. I may fail. I may not make it. But I’m going to at least try. Just the thought of climbing that mountain has caused a shift with my mindset with diet and exercise. I gotta be ready. Just the thought of the Sports apparel company getting back to me pushed me even more in my workouts.

3. My modeling career started and ended quickly. Okay, it never really started, lol. So I will continue to take my post workout photos.
