Mommy and daddy are teaching you life lessons.
Learning how to make money.
Learning how to reach a deadline.
Learning how to prepare for all the difficult challenges that lie ahead.
Challenges like racism.
Challenges like atheism.
Challenges like bullying.
Challenges where people go against what God has to say.
My prayer for you is that you will always follow King Jesus. I will do my best to lead you down the right path.
I know one day you’ll have to make a choice to follow Jesus.

Hello Amanda, thanks for taking the time to read my blog. You have me curious? What is your worldview? What do you mean “gotta indoctrinate them young”? We are teaching our son what the Bible says concerning creation, mankind, Jesus, etc. I look forward to hear from you.
My personal view is an honest one, that we don’t know if there is a creator or not and cannot possibly now at this time (and to expand, even if there is a creator that does not mean that the creator is necessarily inherently “good” or just or well-intentioned).
My comment was referring to your statement that atheism is a challenge. That’s why I made the joke about indoctrinating kids young, when they don’t know any better but to trust what adults brainwash them with.
Thank you for sharing. Science has established that the universe had a marked beginning. The universe is not eternal. Considering life can’t come from non life, I think one needs to consider that there’s a cause that’s immaterial, timeless, and powerful enough to bring about the universe.
Of course there was a beginning to the universe; but the notion that the universe has a beginning has nothing to do with a creator, and even if there does happen to be a creator, just because they hypothetically exist does not mean they are good or have good intentions. Religions are man made after all

We can’t possibly know the origin of the universe at this point in history, and my view is that I am perfectly fine with that. I don’t need mythology to resolve unanswered questions, and choosing to have faith in religion requires a sacrifice of intellectual integrity. We should be able to admit that we don’t know.
You never really answered my question. We seem to under the Law of Cause and Effect, except when it comes to the Universe. Whatever the Cause behind this effect had to be nonmaterial in nature, powerful, eternal. It’s interesting that you aren’t willing to acknowledge that. I don’t know if you’ve truly studied Christianity. It is false to say Christianity requires a sacrifice of intellectual integrity. If you’re ever interested in truly studying the scriptures and the evidence in them please let me know.
