Hi:
I am so excited and honored to be invited as a guest contributor on Ben’s blog.

I love to read and study the Bible and to write about what I learn. Several years ago I started sharing what I learned with my grandchildren, a few friends, and a weekly Bible reading class.

One story that I learned and shared is about Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz. How Ruth gleaned the grain in Boaz’s field to support herself and Naomi.
Lev 19:9-10 is the law for the Jews regarding harvesting crops. The corners of the fields were to be left and any grain dropped was left for the poor to pick up. This is called gleaning. One definition of gleaning is “collected gradually bit by bit.”

One thing is certain. I am no Bible scholar or a scholar of any kind, but gradually bit by bit I have gleaned truths from the Bible that I will be sharing with you.  I hope these will be beneficial to you.
Until next time I remain with a song in my heart.
