I recently preached and shared on my podcast my sermon, “The Next 100 years.” You can hear the full version on my website http://www.benjaminlee.blog. This week, I’m sharing some of the thoughts from that sermon to you via Blog. I hope this will be an encouragement to you. God Bless!
A Vision Beyond 2125
It’s the year 2125. What does Lewisville look like? What about West Main? Unless you’ve got some miracle DNA or Big Pharma’s cooked up a new pill, we won’t be here. But what we do today—*that* will still matter.
We’re not just thinking about the next 5 years… we’re thinking about eternity. West Main has been around for over 100 years. That doesn’t happen by accident. It takes vision. Courage. Faith. In a 1961 church bulletin, you see it: faith-driven planning, a call to action, and urgency about the future.
Fear kills momentum. Some want to ‘stay small.’ That’s the grasshopper mindset from Numbers. The kind that misses opportunity. But Daniel 2:44 tells us Christ’s Kingdom will never be destroyed. Acts 2:47 shows it’s growing. Revelation 3 warns churches can look alive but be nearly dead.
So what about us? Our actions today shape tomorrow. Let’s move with eternity in mind.
