Lions in the Bible

Lions are no joke. I saw one up close in Africa in 2014—behind a fence—and I still felt the intensity.

That’s probably why Peter describes the devil as a roaring lion in 1 Peter 5:8. He wants us to run in fear. To freeze. To give up.

But the Bible also gives us another Lion. In Revelation 5:5, Jesus is called the Lion of Judah. He doesn’t instill fear—He gives us victory.

So when you hear the roar… ask yourself: Which lion are you listening to?
