I leaned about this on YouTube a year ago, and it has helped me achieve my big goal in 2020. I cut out anything that wasn’t essential. So many ppl make the mistake of trying to get good at everything but they end up never truly mastering anything.
I love hearing about your success Hilary! Any additional details you would like to share that might help others? Job well done!
This is a personal story and I don’t mind sharing it: I failed a class in winter 2019 and as a result, I had to wait a year to return to university and repeat Term 6. They only allow you to repeat one course in undergrad. This past year I had to work extra hard to pass Terms 6, 7, and 8. Clinical got cut short in Term 6 and there was no clinical in Term 7 (everything was online). I missed a lot of clinical practice, and on top of that I got transferred to 3 different units in Term 8. Overall, I had 3 preceptors and finished later than other students due to being transferred so many times. It was quite stressful. Even though I am graduating, there is so much more that I need to learn which is why I’m not returning to social media (aka. distractions) any time soon until I’m able to master this thing called nursing.
It’s impossible to get good at anything if our attention is divided by so many things, so that’s why I gave everything up that wasn’t essential. My focus is getting a career in order and I’m happy to say that I have 2 degrees now. 👩🎓
Wow that’s amazing! Thank you so much for sharing! You did it!
