Did you have a relaxing weekend? Finding time to relax, to read, or to recover requires one to be intentional.

One of the ways we can do this is by picking a word for the week.

My family and I did this last week and it worked quite well. My word or focus for the week was “Updated.” I notice when I stay current with tasks and responsibilities, I always feel better. It drastically decreases my stress level. I realize this is not always a possibility, but as I think more about it, that could be an excuse.

Why can’t I stay up to date with my work and home responsibilities? I can!

I’m thankful I often do, but when I get off track, I have to hit the brakes and get back on track.

Thankfully, I was able to catch up on a number of tasks. As a result, I feel much better.

Now, I’m not saying that because I picked this word everything automatically fell into place. But picking the word “Updated” to focus on did force me to consider where I was and what needed to be done.

So, what about you? If you were to pick a word for the week, what would it be?

Success?

Productivity?

Health?

Prayer?

Sleep?

Family?

When we begin to narrow our focus, life gets easier!

Take a few minutes today and pick a word for the week. Then go after it with all your might!

I Can Do…So Can You!
