Sacrifice is a challenge.

After all, we have our RIGHTS!

Shouldn’t we be able to do whatever it is that we WANT to do?

How much are we willing to sacrifice for our spouses?

It’s often said, “A happy wife is a happy life.” There’s a lot of truth to that!

I haven’t heard a saying however for husbands. If you have, please let me know.

It doesn’t matter what sayings may or may not be out there. Marriage is about sacrifice.

Marriages are not always going to be happy! That’s not necessarily the end goal. Happiness is great, but is often fleeting. Marriage helps us to learn how to love one another. Marriage helps us to learn more about God and His love for us.

Marriage is a blessing! Marriage is also a challenge! Marriage requires work. It requires both the husband and wife to have tender hearts and to willingly practice forgiveness.

How good are we at practicing forgiveness? How did we see practiced growing up? Is it easy for us or is it challenging for us to do?

It will be necessary along with other sacrifices as well.

How much are we willing to sacrifice to the one who stood with in front of huge or small audience and said,

For better and for worse, in sickness and in health, and until death do we part.”

Love is more than a feeling! It’s an action. It’s often seen and heard in sacrifices we’re willing to make.
