The Work of Discipleship Isn’t Done
You can often tell a church’s health by its evangelistic pulse. Is it reaching out—or retreating?
Matthew 28:19–20 and Mark 16:15 are still the mission. Numbers matter not because of pride, but because each one represents a soul. Churches that close often suffer from apathy, gossip, and disengagement. But thriving churches sacrifice. They act.
1 Thessalonians 1:6–8 praises the Thessalonians for sounding forth the gospel. We must do the same. That means the mission field starts in your home—with your spouse and children. It continues with visitors, co-workers, classmates, and neighbors.
