It’s something so many desire! It’s what so many want. MORE TIME.

With the time change, a lot of people I’m sure were happy. The thought of having an extra sounds fantastic. Full Disclosure: I really do enjoy getting the extra hour. But I/we still have to manage our time to the best of our abilities.

What if having more time wasn’t just a fantasy, but rather a reality? I believe all of us have more time in our schedules. How could that be? Isn’t everyone stressed to the max? Not necessarily. How we use our time will go a long way. Below are some simple things to get more of your time back!

  1. Utilize your drive time. This consumes a lot of time for many people. Don’t waste it. Use it to make phone calls to loved ones. To catch up on a podcast. To rehearse your upcoming talk out loud. To pray to God out loud. Or use it to regain a sense of calm after a long day.
  2. The early morning hours. Jesus got up early in the morning to pray, Mark 1:35. Before everything else got hectic, He spent quiet time alone with His heavenly Father. The early morning hours is a great way to really live two days in one. Capitalize on the moments of stillness.
  3. Turn your phone off for one hour everyday! I can almost promise you that you will not miss anything. If you do, you can always call the person back. But you will GAIN more calm, more clarity, and more space to think. Doesn’t everyone want more of that with their time?

These are some simple tips that will go a long way. Why does the thought of having more time have to be a fantasy? Why not make it a reality!
