Last year I lived 2 days for most of the year.  It was amazing. I couldn’t believe how much I was able to get done.

So, do you want to do more than ever? Do you want to experience living 2 days everyday?

Okay, let me explain what may be required from you. Obviously, there’s only 24 hours in a day. But what I did made it feel like I was living 2 days in 1.

That’s because around the middle part of the year I began waking up at 4am each morning. After reading a book about sleep rhythms, I decided to do some experimenting. I kept a pretty tight schedule. I started waking up at the same time, even on the weekends.

From 4am-8am, I basically gained another day of time, or at least that’s how it felt.

I was able to get so much done.

I spent more time in prayer and reading Gods word. I read more books than ever in a shorter period of time. I exercised in the morning with a friend of mine.

It was like living 2 days in 1.

The complaints I’ve heard when I tell people this is…

“That’s too early…” Blah, Blah,Blah…

These are often the same people who then say…

“I don’t have time to workout…”

“I don’t have to time to read books.”

“I wish I could focus more and pray.”

Uuuuummmmm….

You can have 2 days in 1. Yes, it will require sacrifice, but everything in life that is worthwhile does, right?

I did something else too. I basically stopped watching sports! Wow! What a time trap sports are.

NBA playoffs and finals…nope didn’t watch them. I was happy Lebron won again. I was reading a book during game 7 of the finals in my bedroom.

Olympic Games…nope! I could watch the highlights on ESPN.

Speaking of ESPN, we cancelled cable. That channel can be a time trap. They’ve also become so much more political than actually focusing on sports. Probably why their numbers are falling. Don’t need it.

World Series…no, except for the last 3 innings of game 7. That was cool.

Super Bowl a few months ago…I did watch the second half! Go Brady!

Anyway, you gotta sacrifice some things if you want to accomplish some other things. Try living 2 days in 1. It’s unbelievable!

You will get more done than ever.

I truly believe doing that last year primed the pump for the transformation I began physically that began back in August.

It helped prepare me for some other goals that I have. It was refreshing, relaxing, and very revealing.

Before you knock the idea of waking up early, read Mark 1:35 in the Bible!
